Instructional Design Partners – Texas Woman’s University


Instructional Design Partners provide a continuum of instructional support, course design, and course development for TWU instructors. We work alongside instructors to answer questions about teaching and learning through individual consultations, small group work, symposia and workshops. Our focus is on helping instructors create strong courses that address specific learning outcomes and engage students in the learning process.

Partnership opportunities

Teaching and learning with technology Instructional design partners maintain, develop and implement professional development events on pedagogy.

Academic Stream Partnerships

Instructional Design Partners work with department heads to identify goals and objectives to develop personalized and unique workshops and trainings on topics related to teaching and learning with technology.

Instructional Design Partners

Instructional designers partner with instructors and academic components to answer questions about teaching and learning in one-on-one, small group consultations, workshops, and webinars. They are knowledgeable and continue to help with:

  • Design or redesign of Canvas courses
  • Consulting with instructors moving classes online
  • Training of instructors in the use of immersive technology
  • Integrating Google Apps into Canvas Courses
  • Teaching and learning guides on pedagogical topics
  • Using open educational practices (OPE) to innovate learning
  • Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Assistant Programs
  • Provide e-learning guide for instructors to help students

Instructional design partners will meet with instructors online via Google Hangouts Meet, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Find the instructional designer that supports your department or academic component. Email your instructional design partner if you have a question. If you want to make an appointment:

  • Each instructional design partner has a link to open their calendar and schedule an online meeting.
    • Appointments last 30 minutes. If you need more time, schedule 2 appointments.
  • If the Instructional Design Partner’s calendar doesn’t have time available that fits your schedule, you can:
    • Email your instructional design partner to find a time that works for both of you
    • OR open another Instructional Design Partners calendar to schedule an online meeting.
