Intentional and thoughtful instructional design is an essential part of creating any face-to-face learning effort or event. Well-designed experiments and materials for the classroom will lead to the acquisition and application of knowledge and skills on the job, which ultimately will positively impact organizational results.

An effective instructional design process follows a system of needs assessment, process design, materials development, and effectiveness evaluation. Instructional design requires the analysis and selection of the most appropriate strategies, methodologies and technologies to maximize the learning experience and knowledge transfer.

Aligned with the Instructional Design Capability of the Talent Development Capability Model, this Instructional Design Certificate program will provide you with over 20 ATD-exclusive tools and templates and the opportunity to practice using them on a project. flexible and authentic learning.

First, take 11 courses on individual aspects of instructional design. Each course aligns with the knowledge and skill statements of the Talent Development Body of Knowledge. After completing these courses, complete your learning experience with a personalized capstone that covers instructional design (especially for face-to-face learning experiences) and provides an opportunity to demonstrate your new skills on a project. ‘learning.

Your learning project allows you to practice writing effective learning objectives and creating a plan for a face-to-face classroom learning event. Plus, you’ll customize your learning project by selecting two additional items that best meet your learning and performance needs. Choose from planning a needs assessment, creating an infographic, designing a sample assessment, and reviewing assessment data.
