Clarkson University senior instructional designer Loretta Driskel has been named editor-in-chief of the MERLOT Teacher Education Editorial Board.
MERLOT partners with an international community of educators, learners and researchers to provide access to curated online learning, support materials and content creation tools. MERLOT is supported by the Online Learning Consortium and Quality Matters, every recognized institution in the online learning space.
Driskel has worked with MERLOT for 15 years and was selected as an editor for her expertise in the discipline, her excellence in teaching, and her use of technology in her teaching. This appointment reflects the judgment of his peers as an example in these areas.
In his new editorial role, Driskel will provide leadership to the editorial board, as well as community and collection development for the discipline.
With over 20 years of experience as a teacher and over 15 as an instructional designer for higher education, Loretta’s passion is to create engaging and diverse learning experiences for students and faculty.
At Clarkson, she partners with instructors to create high-quality design of online learning experiences for a range of learner audiences, including pre-undergraduate, undergraduate, graduate, and professional.
