100% placement of AGC students: The Tribune India

Amritsar: The Hospitality Management Department of Amritsar Group of Colleges (AGC) has completed its placement process for 2,022 passed out students. The 58 students were placed in renowned hotel and restaurant chains such as Taj Group, ITC, Hilton, Sarovar Group, Radisson Hotels, Orchid Group, etc. service, cleaning and reception. Besides internships, students also have the opportunity to do an international internship. The principal, Dr. Banga, said that AGC not only prepares its students for the hospitality industry, but also for other industries such as cruises and airlines, among others.

MBA, PhD batches at IIM-Amritsar

The Indian Institute of Management, Amritsar has successfully inaugurated the eighth batch of its flagship MBA program, MBA-Business Analytics program batch, MBA-Human Resources program and PhD program. Founder and President of CL Educate Ltd, Satya Narayanan R was the main guest of the event. Dr. Nagarajan Ramamoorthy, Director, IIM-Amritsar; Dr. Mahima Gupta, Dean, Academics; Dr. Pavneet Singh, chair, admissions; and Dr. Pankaj Gupta, Chairman, MBA; were also present. Proud to be ranked fifth among IIMs in terms of the number of applications received, he urged students to collaborate, compete and interact with like-minded people, and said that the few years a student spends at IIM-Amritsar define his journey. He also officially presented the prize to the President of the MBA.

Faculty Development Program

A Faculty Development Program (FDP) – “Technological Advancement in Education, Management and Law” – was organized by the School of Education in conjunction with the Ideal Institute of Management and Technology, Delhi, as part of the Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Education program. The program aims to foster the knowledge and professional skills of faculty members in order to improve their performance in the fields of education, research and administration. The program received an overwhelming response with over 70 participants from various reputable universities across India. Prof (Dr) Deepa Sikand Kauts, Dean, Faculty of Education, Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), welcomed the keynote guest, speakers and participants while sharing the purpose behind organizing the FDP. Prof. Santosh Panda, Director, Institute for Staff Training and Research in Distance Education, IGNOU, New Delhi was the resource person. Professor Kauts also referred to the National Education Policy which listed the essential criteria that must be respected and followed. Prof. (Dr) Santosh Panda delivered the keynote address and congratulated the institutes for choosing a relevant topic.

Rangoli event dedicated to the martyr

Tarn Taran: Tributes were paid to the martyr Kulwant Singh, hero of the 1965 Indo-Pakistani war, at the Guru Amar Dass Adarsh ​​Institute, Goindwal Sahib on Thursday. A rangoli competition dedicated to the martyr was organized on this occasion. The headmaster of the institution, Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa praised the hard work of the students and called on the students to remember the martyr warriors who sacrificed their lives for the country. “We are safe in our homes thanks to them,” he added.
